TRAFFIC & SAFETY AT TALBERT
Dear Talbert Families,
Attached you will find a letter from the Huntington Beach Police department reviewing safety for pedestrians and bicyclists in school neighborhoods. In the last year, the HBPD has responded to 78 pedestrian related accidents resulting in 77 injuries and 6 fatalities. 112 collisions involved bicycles, resulting in 100 injuries and 3 fatalities. Schools are busy places with a lot of coming and going traffic.
Please be especially vigilant at the crosswalks. Do not block the crosswalk while students are present. Thank you for helping keep Talbert students safe.
Magazine Kick-Off...Tuesday, September 9th
It is that time of year again to pull out those salesman shoes and get ready to help Talbert achieve success in selling cookie dough and magazines!
Last year we exceeded $80,000 in sales and this year we aim to do the same. The profit generated helps support all the functions we do here at Talbert, so it is important that this fundraiser is a success. With your generous help and kind contributions we can make this the best ever. Please look over the packet that goes home on Tuesday, and if you should have any questions, please feel free to give me a jingle. Thank you for your support... THINK 7 Mr. Fockler

All 7th and 8th graders at Talbert must have their Tdap vaccine prior to Starting school in September per state law. Make sure your child has their vaccine proof into the office before the first day of school so that they can start school on time. Students that lack proof of this vaccine will not start school until proof is provided.
